Wedding Wednesday

Happy Wedding Wednesday y'all!!! I seriously have been slacking on wedding planning but I plan (keyword "plan") to get a lot done in August, or at least kind of. I definitely did not get everything done I had planned to in July but let's get over what I actually did get done...

  •    Said Yes to the Dress- Ok, so technically this happened in June but it wasn't on my end of the month Wedding Wednesday post last month. Getting this one done is HUGE to me so I am definitely happy about getting that done. The only thing is, I think my dress will be ready for my first fitting like right before I'm about to give birth or like right after. So the fitting will have to be put on hold for sure.
  • "Booked" a ceremony & reception venue- I put this on last month's post but I'm putting it again since my mom officially closed on her new house and lives there now. So it is definite that the wedding will be on her property.
  • Made another draft guest list
  • Ordered Save-the-Dates and address labels (just ones with our names and address to make it a little easier on us). I really wanted to get the save-the-dates mailed out this month but it's most likely not going to happen. I haven't started writing the addresses and names or even put our address labels on them and I still have some addresses to get.
This is the save-the-date we chose from Zazzle (not our info on here obviously). I seriously love Zazzle! That is where we get our Christmas cards and I have gotten some of the dogs' birthday shirts off of there!
  • Researched Caterers
  • Researched Officiants
  • Researched Rental Companies

God I have so much to do and my head is just not focused (partially b/c I'm off my main ADD med). I need to get as much done before Rory is born as possible b/c wedding planning, a newborn, and figuring out this whole mom thing is going to be crazy.

17 Week Bumpdate

Ugggh, can we all please just put our pajamas back on and crawl back into bed??? No? Ok, then we might as well get on with this bumpdate.

How Far Along: 17 weeks and 2 days

Due Date: 12/31/2016 New Year's Eve!

Baby is the Size of: A Turnip! Baby is measuring 5" from crown to rump- can you believe how long she is already?!

Weight Gain: Well it looks like so far I have gained 7 lbs total.

Symptoms: Nausea, headaches, sore sensitive boobs, bloating, moody, fatigue, lightening crotch, sciatic nerve pain, and as of yesterday I have officially started feeling round ligament pain. I can't say enough how thankful I am for Diclegis so that I'm not puking my brains out! The midwife I saw on Friday wants me to start weaning myself off but I'm so scared to. So I've decreased it from 3 pills a day to two.

Gender: Girl!

Name: Rory Brielle

Movement: None, it is still too early although I get these little electric shock feelings sometimes. Some people on my app say it is movement from the baby and some say it's not. So who the hell knows.

Nursery: We're going with a woodland/ woodland critters and floral theme. I've been pinning away and can't wait to paint and decorate! I've bought two things for the nursery so far. Jesse's Aunt, Uncle, and cousins got Rory the cutest Ariel The Little Mermaid wall art piece that I'm for sure putting in her closet where her little dress up station will be. We got the paint for Rory's nursery and I just ordered a curtain rod and curtains yesterday!

Maternity Clothes: I'm starting to switch over to wearing the belly band with most of my jeans now. I also wear my one maternity tank top sometimes in size small. I placed an order with Old Navy this weekend for a few basics (and some more clothes for Rory. What happened to me not buying anymore clothes for her this month? Whoops...)

Sleep: I am so freaking tired. I try to catch up on sleep a little bit on the weekends but Gary makes that very difficult.

Best Moment of the Week: Picking out paint and completing (for now) my baby registry! Oh and hearing our little girl's heartbeat (in the 150s) on Friday! When I was listening on the doppler to Rory's heartbeat, the midwife and I heard her kick twice!!! She said I will definitely be feeling this girl kick very soon- eek!!! My mom said she felt my sister and I kick early on too.

Missing: Wine and Margaritas- especially margaritas! I still need to get a new bigger blender and get Jesse to make me some virgin ones.

Cravings & Aversions: Rice (and Chipotle- that's a given), pasta, popsicles, donuts, brownies, cupcakes, mozzarella sticks, string cheese, fruit, and fresh veggies (mainly celery).

Aversions... Still the same. Grilled chicken (unless it is like overdone and crispyish), nuts, spinach & artichoke dip, biscuits, and steamed green vegetables aren't appealing to me at all but I still mix steamed green beans into my lunch and am still able to eat them as long as I don't smell them.

Mood: Very happy but getting very easily annoyed.

Looking Forward to: Getting the Quad Test done today (one of the things it tests for is Spina Bifida) and painting the nursery this weekend!!!

Have a great week!!!

Pink Blush Maternity

Since finding out I am pregnant, I have been kickin' my Pinterest game into high gear. Between all of the cute baby clothes, parenting advice, new mom tips, top new products, nursery items, registry items, etc., I have been going crazy but I love it! Another thing I've been pinning and saving is maternity clothing.

I have only bought two belly bands and one maternity top so far. I'm tempted to go try on a pair of maternity jeans but I think I'm going to wait on that just a little bit longer. One shop that caught my eye for sure was Pink Blush Maternity. Their maternity clothes are so freakin' cute! I especially love the maternity dresses and was so excited when I got an instagram message asking if I wanted to do a collaboration! Um yes?!!!

There was one dress I for sure had my eye on and so obviously that is what I chose. It is a maxi dress, which I love, and it is 3/4 sleeved with a beautiful floral print. Even though it is a maxi dress, it is so lightweight and airy. And what's even better is that the dress is made to accommodate growing baby bumps. I'm pretty sure I found my baby shower dress y'all!!!

It is going to be perfect for a September baby shower. September weather can be tricky sometimes and I think this dress will most certainly do. And because these dresses are made to accommodate growing baby bumps, the dress will still fit me a few months from now when it is time for the baby shower.

   So what do y'all think?!

16 Week Bumpdate

Good Morning y'all! It is bumpdate time, ya know since I can't seem to get my bumpdates done on Saturdays with all the craziness of the weekend.

How Far Along: 16 weeks and 2 days

Due Date: 12/31/2016 New Year's Eve!

Baby is the Size of: An Avocado! Baby is measuring 4-5" from crown to rump.

Weight Gain: Not sure. When I went to see one of my other doctors, what popped up on the scale was waaay off. My mom says that in pregnancy, you weigh different at different times of the day, plus I had eaten snacks on the way to that doctor. I'm going to estimate that I've gained about 3 lbs total.

Symptoms: Nausea, headaches, sore sensitive boobs, bloating, moody, fatigue, lightening crotch and sciatic nerve pain. I can't say enough how thankful I am for Diclegis so that I'm not puking my brains out!

Sleep: I am so freaking tired. I try to catch up on sleep a little bit on the weekends but Gary makes that very difficult.

Best Moment of the Week: Going bowling, celebrating Jesse's birthday and going to his cousin's high school graduation party.

Missing: Wine and Margaritas- especially margaritas! I still need to get a new bigger blender and get Jesse to make me some virgin ones.

Cravings & Aversions: Rice (and Chipotle- that's a given), pasta, chocolate chip mini muffins, popsicles, donuts, brownies, mozzarella sticks, fruit, and fresh veggies (mainly celery).

Looking Forward to: My doctor's appointment on Friday! As far as I know, there won't be an ultrasound but I would think they would still check on Rory's heartbeat rate via doppler and I think I might be getting the blood test for Spina Bifida done.

Have a great week!!!

15 Week Bumpdate

Ugh, Mondays... so freakin' tired but let's start this week off right on a positive note. I'm 15 weeks and 2 days pregnant, so it's time for a 15 week bumpdate.

How Far Along: 15 weeks (technically I'm 15 weeks and 2 days today).

Due Date: 12/31/2016 New Year's Eve!

Baby is the Size of: A naval orange! 4.50" from crown to rump.

Weight Gain: At my last appointment I had gained about a lb total. I'm thinking I've gained about 3 lbs total right now but not completely sure since my scale at home sometimes differs from doctors' scales (although I don't always trust their scales either). I have an appointment with my doctor who monitors my Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome this week and they usually weigh me every visit. So we'll see what that scale says.

Symptoms: Nausea, headaches, sore sensitive boobs, bloating, moody, fatigue, calf cramps, foot cramps, lightening crotch and sciatic nerve pain. I can't say enough how thankful I am for Diclegis so that I'm not puking my brains out!

Maternity Clothes: I still mainly just use a hair tie to keep my jeans closed but occasionally wear my belly band. I also wear my one maternity tank top sometimes in size small.

Sleep: I am so freaking tired. I try to catch up on sleep a little bit on the weekends but Gary makes that very difficult.

Best Moment of the Week: Getting my hair done (although it took a lot longer than expected) and eating crabs this weekend!

Missing: Wine and Margaritas- especially margaritas! I still need to get a new bigger blender and get Jesse to make me some virgin ones.

Cravings & Aversions: Rice (and Chipotle- that's a given), pasta, chocolate chip mini muffins, popsicles, donuts, fruit, and fresh veggies (mainly celery).

Looking Forward to: Jesse's birthday this weekend and picking out paint for Rory's nursery!

Wedding Wednesday

So I'm thinking maybe I'll do 2 Wedding Wednesdays a month, or at least for now. 1 on the 1st Wednesday of the month reviewing what needs to get done this month and 1 on the last Wednesday of the month going over what I actually got accomplished. Sound good?

Before I review what wedding related tasks need to be completed this month, I want to announce a big to-do I got checked off the list last month... I bought my wedding dress! Well, I found the dress and put the deposit down or whatever but still!!! That is like a huge thing for me on my list. Now that I've said yes to the dress and all, I feel like a lot has been done even though there is much more to do. Oh yea, and apparently we have decided to have the wedding in the evening again instead of the morning.

   In July we need to...

  •    Review the drafted guest list and rewrite it.
  •    Order Save-the-Dates and labels.
  •    Make sure we have all of the guests' addresses.
  •    Address the envelopes and mail out the Save-the-Dates.
  •    Meet with a potential wedding officiant (or more) and book one!
  •    Maybe do some more research on music/ DJ alternatives.

And I think that's about it. I have been so relaxed and go with the flow about this wedding. My wedding dress consultant even said I was like the easiest bride she has ever had. We aren't having a big fancy wedding. It is going to be pretty low key. My step sister even asked over the weekend if my nephew needed to get fitted for a tux. Nope. No tux needed but I'll go over attire in a later post. I just want it to be as stress-free as possible and be able to enjoy it. Maybe the pregnancy is making me so relaxed about it? Who knows. I know one thing for sure, my mom is LOVING that I'm not being a bridezilla right now because everyone who knows me probably would've bet money that I would for sure be a bridezilla. I even thought I would be one. I probably will become at least somewhat bridezilla-ish when it comes closer to the date and we're trying to get the final details together but that is kind of expected with all of the stress.

Happy hump day! Friday is almost here, kind of.

Birthday Weekend Recap

Good Morning y'all! Coming back to work after a 3-day weekend is NEVER fun. You are usually extra tired and just do not feel like being there. But we have to earn a living, right?

On Sunday I turned 25! Just 5 years away from 30 and I am officially the same age as Jesse (until the 17th when he turns 26). This year's birthday was definitely different than most. We kept the usual tradition of going out to lunch or dinner but I didn't do any shopping and of course I didn't do any drinking. It is so weird, you would think being pregnant that I would stuff my face at dinner. Nope. Jesse took me to Outback Steakhouse. I ate a little bit of bread and some of a bloomin' onion before our dinner came out but I barely could eat any of my dinner and definitely had no room for dessert. So far, being pregnant, I've had to eat small meals and then snack throughout the whole day. It's mainly to help my nausea but I also just tend to be hungry throughout the day and if I try to eat a big meal or regular sized meal, my stomach usually ends up hurting really bad. But hey, I'm cool with leftovers.

This American Eagle dress makes me look huge. I order a birthday dress every year and my sister advised against this one- I should've listened to her. I also wish I hadn't ordered a size up. I sized up since I thought I might possibly be bigger or showing more on my birthday and would be more comfortable sizing up. I was comfortable but I definitely could've went the next size down. Oh well. I'll be able to wear this when I'm a little further along.

We spent a lot of the weekend trying to get some more things done with the house (still a lot to do and none of the rooms are completely finished being decorated, etc. I might share some things on here soon that I've already shared on instagram) and cleaned because we had family over the evening of my birthday for a bonfire and s'mores! This girl loves her some s'mores and little Rory definitely agreed. This little shindig (pretty much the first time having people over at our new house) wasn't super organized, which is so unusual for me, but it was still fun. My nephew definitely kept us entertained.

All of our dogs have been around children before but only Audrey has actually been around my nephew and the last time she saw him was when the twins started walking, which scared the shit out of her. The dogs did sooo good! I had to grab Tigger real quick when my nephew decided he wanted to run around the yard because I saw all three dogs running towards my nephew and Tigger, being the largest (for now), would've definitely knocked him to the ground. Gary jumped on him pushing him up against the fence but it wasn't a big deal. My nephew is 2 and Gary only weighs 30 lbs. We only kept the dogs out for a little bit not to overwhelm them. Plus we didn't want them outside when any fireworks started. So they laid comfortably in their dog room with the t.v. on.

I am SUPER proud of Audrey though! She even joined in on the chase and didn't jump on him. She came up to everyone while I had the dogs outside for a little bit instead of hiding in a corner crouched down to the ground. She did hide under my chair for a little bit to eat some grass but overall, she did AMAZING and I didn't even give her extra calm tabs before the fam arrived! You don't understand how much of a huge step this is for her and her anxiety.

My little birthday celebration was over by 10:00 p.m. which was perfectly fine with my because I was exhausted. 4th of July was pretty uneventful. It was cool out and we were just too tired from the weekend and wanted to relax at least somewhat. So we just ran some errands, watched Joe Dirt 2, and caught up on the last two episodes of The Real Housewives of Dallas (yes, Jesse watches this with me even though he hates to admit it).

It is crazy to think that my next birthday and 4th of July will be celebrated with my little girl! And I will be married!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

14 Week Bumpdate

Happy 4th y'all!!! Let's kick off this lovely morning with a bumpdate shall we?

Yay, I got Jesse to take a picture of me when I was actually 14 weeks pregnant!

How Far Along: 14 weeks (technically I'm 14 weeks and 2 days today).

Due Date: 12/31/2016 New Year's Eve!

Baby is the Size of: A lemon! 3" (or 3.40" according to my other app) from crown to rump.

Weight Gain: I don't go back to the doctor until towards the end of July but last time I had only gained about 1 lb.

Symptoms: Nausea, headaches, sore sensitive boobs, bloating, moody, fatigue, calf cramps, lightening crotch and sciatic nerve pain. I can't say enough how thankful I am for Diclegis so that I'm not puking my brains out!

Gender: Girl!

Name: Rory Brielle

Movement: None, it is still too early.

Nursery: We're going with a woodland/ woodland critters and floral theme. I've been pinning away and can't wait to paint and decorate! I've already bought two things for the nursery.

Maternity Clothes: I still mainly just use a hair tie to keep my jeans closed. I wore a belly band with my shorts last weekend when I went wedding dress shopping (and got my dress!). I wore my new (and only) maternity tank top for the first time but can still fit into my regular tops.

Sleep: I am so freaking tired.

Best Moment of the Week: Finding out that we're having a little girl!!!

Missing: Wine and Margaritas- especially margaritas! I still need to get a new bigger blender and get Jesse to make me some virgin ones.

Cravings & Aversions: Rice (and Chipotle- that's a given), pasta, chocolate chip mini muffins, popsicles, donuts, fruit, fresh veggies (mainly celery) and popcorn from the movie theatre.

Looking Forward to: Seeing our little girl again! It is so hard to wait so long between ultrasounds. As of right now, I don't have another ultrasound scheduled until mid August! At least I should be able to hear Rory's heartbeat towards the end of July though :). So I am also looking forward to that.

Jesse: So Jesse says he's excited to have two women bossing him around. Lol sarcasm? Maybe I should just take this section off until we're further along.

Have a happy 4th of July and please keep your fur babies safe and inside!!!

-Heather
