21 Week Bumpdate

   Good Morning y'all!

How Far Along: 21 weeks and 2 days

Due Date: 12/31/2016 New Year's Eve!

Baby is the Size of: A large Carrot! Baby is measuring 7" from crown to rump. At the anatomy scan last week, Rory was weighing in at 13 oz and is in the 74th percentile!!! I'm wondering if she is going to be a big baby b/c the average weight for how far along I was at the scan was 10 oz and she was weighing in at 3 oz above that. I guess we'll just see what her measurements are next time they measure her since I know that ultrasounds can be a little off sometimes.

Weight Gain: I'm not sure but about 10 lbs, maybe 11.

Symptoms: Nausea, headaches, sore sensitive boobs, bloating, moody, fatigue, lightening crotch, sciatic nerve pain, calf cramps, and round ligament pain. I've been cutting out the morning pill (Diclegis for morning sickness) and just taking 1 pill before bed. Thursday morning less than an hour before I have to get up, I woke up screaming in pain from the worst calf cramp I have ever had in my life. I have had many many cramps in my calves and arches of my feet and I'm telling you this was the worst one. Jesse was so confused and thought I was going into labor- thank God I wasn't! *Knock on Wood* I am so grateful to have him and he rubbed my calf and got me water to drink until the cramp went away.

Gender: Girl!

Name: Rory Brielle

Movement: Still don't think I've felt anything but from the ultrasound we could see that she is kicking away! At the beginning of the ultrasound she was head down and by the end she was feet down. At least seeing her kick and be so active on the ultrasound gave me some reassurance.

Nursery: We're going with a woodland/ woodland critters and floral theme. The nursery is painted and the curtain rod and curtains are hung up. Aaand her watercolor wall art print set came!!! Yay! I am sooo excited to put this up, well I mean get Jesse to put them up. I was originally planning on also ordering her mobile when I purchased this set but of course right when I want to order it, the Etsy seller of the mobile went on a little break. So I'm going to give it about a month and if the seller is still on a break, I'll look for a different mobile.

Maternity Clothes: I wear a belly band with my pre-pregnancy jeans, I have a few basics (3 tops and leggings), and now have a winter maternity coat but that's about all the maternity clothes I have bought so far. I'm thinking I'm going to need to buy some maternity pants by the end of this month- some of my jeans I can't zip at all.

Sleep: I am so freaking tired. I try to catch up on sleep a little bit on the weekends but Gary makes that very difficult. Lately my sleep has not been good. I've been waking up randomly (and it's not to pee) and just not getting great sleep. I switched to sleeping mainly on my right side instead of the left side (I was doing that mostly for good blood circulation for the baby and b/c I usually start off like that) and I think that helps some nights. However, Jesse hurt his shoulder at work a few weeks ago. He has a torn rotator cuff and of course with the way workman's comp works, the doctor wants him to keep doing physical therapy and taking steroids and continue working. So he has had many nights where he hasn't slept at all and that probably isn't helping my sleep issues.

Best Moment(s) of the Week: Seeing our little girl at our anatomy scan. She for sure has Jesse's nose without a doubt. I can't wait to see her again and see how her features have developed at my echo scan next month. The Doctor said she is one great looking kid, very healthy, and as of right now, no sign of Spina Bifida!

On Friday after my appointment with the Psychiatrist (and of course after taking care of the dogs), I took my sister out to dinner at Olive Garden since she is going back to college this week. And on Saturday, Jesse and I went to see Sausage Party since we didn't get to see it last week and he wanted to see it. I was smart and ordered tickets online ahead of time like I usually do.

Oh yea and on Sunday we started (and finished) watching Stranger Things. I know, we are a little late jumping on the Stranger Things wagon but if you haven't watched this Netflix series yet, I strongly recommend you do.

Missing: Wine, wine coolers, and Margaritas- especially margaritas! I still need to get a new bigger blender and get Jesse to make me some virgin ones. I bought a blender for my sister's birthday present b/c she said that's what she wanted but why did I not buy myself a new one? I have no idea. I really should get on this and get on buying a crock pot so that I can make freezer meals right before Rory is born.

Cravings & Aversions: Rice (and Chipotle- that's a given), donuts, brownies, cupcakes, milkshakes, mozzarella sticks, string cheese, fruit, and fresh veggies (mainly fresh raw green peppers), did I say donuts?, chocolate, Belgian waffles, s'mores, and Olive Garden's black tie mousse cake. This little girl has some good taste!

Aversions... Still the same. Grilled chicken (unless it is like overdone and crispyish), nuts, spinach & artichoke dip, and biscuits. And twice this weekend we tried making two new recipes. I liked them both at first and then minutes to hours later, felt so sick after both of them. Guess Rory wasn't a fan.

Mood: Very happy but getting very easily annoyed. I am so mean to Jesse on Saturdays when he usually has to work- sorry babe! If Jesse works Saturdays (and sometimes Sundays), he still has to get up early and for some odd reason, our crazy fur child Gary has to get up at that time too to go potty and eat. So then I have to get all the dogs up and take care of them and then hopefully am able to go back to sleep for 2-3 more hours but boy am I cranky.

Looking Forward to: Hopefully hanging up Rory's watercolor wall art print set.

Have a great week!!!

-Heather
