Due Date: 12/31/2016 New Year's Eve but c-section is scheduled for 12/28/16.
Baby is the Size of: A winter melon! Baby should be measuring about 19-22" long and should weigh 6.5 lbs. Hahaha. So I had my last ultrasound with the high risk specialist 6 days ago and Rory is weighing 8 lbs (96th percentile). Can you believe it?! So her new estimated birth weight at my c-section will be 9 1/2 lbs- Lord held me.
Weight Gain: 40 lbs. Yup, I finally hit the big 40 and it is definitely hard to accept, especially since I don't really eat like crap and don't eat a whole lot extra aaand I still have 16 days until my c-section. But as I always say, it is what it is.
Symptoms: Nausea, headaches, sensitive boobs, moody, fatigue, sciatic nerve pain, back pain, fainting, heartburn, hip pain, acid reflux, pelvic pressure, cramping, and braxton hicks. I've had to start taking 2-3 Diclegis pills a day for morning sickness. I have just been feeling so sick and nauseous lately and like total crap. I'm so over this and so ready for Rory to be out of me.
Name: Rory Brielle
Movement: Yes, some days she is more active than others but that's completely normal.
Engagement Ring On or Off: Off. I seriously started thinking I would end up being one of those women who never had to take their ring off during pregnancy. On Friday I couldn't get it on and at that point I decided to just not risk it getting stuck on my finger anymore. So my engagement ring hangs on a necklace chain around my neck.
Bellybutton In or Out: Starting to poke out as you can see in my bumpdate picture. Definitely creeps me out a little but at least I can't see it unless I look in the mirror.
Signs of Labor: Braxton hicks, pelvic pressure, and cramping. At my prenatal appointment on Thursday, they checked my cervix. My cervix is still closed and not dilated or anything at all.
Nursery: We're going with a woodland/ woodland critters and floral theme. The nursery is finished! Now I just have to take pictures and write my nursery reveal post this week!
Sleep: Exhausted. I just want to be home laying down. I'm tossing and turning throughout the night- especially last night/ this morning.
Best Moment(s) of the Week:
-My last ultrasound with the high risk specialist. I was a little bummed that I got the same ultrasound tech as last time though because she speeds through it and doesn't take any 3D pictures :( and of course Rory was stubborn as usual. She started off with her feet and hands/ arms crossed and covering her face. But when she did wake up, I got to see her yawn which was so cute and pretty darn cool. But she was still pretty uncooperative in trying to get a good picture.Missing: Wine, wine coolers, margaritas, and GIN and TONICS.
Doesn't she look super grumpy here?! lol. Perfecting her angry bitch face already haha.
-My non stress test. I requested apple juice straight away and it worked like a charm again *Knock on Wood*
-Taking Friday off. I have been feeling so sick and in so much pain that I said f*** it and took Friday off and got a pedicure which felt like heaven! I had a really nice conversation with the lady next to me and she ended up paying for my pedicure! So all I had to pay for was my brow and lip wax. I highly recommend getting a pedicure right before/ a few weeks before your baby is born. It felt like the best pedicure I have ever gotten. Sometimes pedicures can send women into labor and I was secretly half hoping it would (plus I was already near the hospital too lol) but it didn't. Oh and I ended up getting a burrito bowl from Chipotle for lunch, yum!
-Finishing the nursery! Finally!
-Watching Season 2 of Fuller House!
Cravings & Aversions: Rice (and Chipotle- that's a given), brownies, cupcakes, cookies, fresh veggies (mainly fresh raw green peppers), chocolate, soft serve vanilla and chocolate twist custard, Wendy's (especially their spicy chicken sandwiches which I craved quite often in the first trimester), McDonald's french fries, Five Guys' french fries and Olive Garden's black tie mousse cake.
Aversions... Still the same. Grilled chicken (unless it is like overdone and crispyish), nuts, spinach & artichoke dip, tortillas, and biscuits.
Mood: Very happy but getting very easily annoyed.
Looking Forward to:
-My non stress test Thursday. Again, not really something I'm looking forward to but it needs to get done and it confirms whether or not things are still going ok. And I get some pre-op blood work done and get to meet with the OBGYN that will be performing my c-section.
-And I'm totally blanking on what else is going on this week that would be something I'd be looking forward to.
