Rory's Winter ONEderland 1st Birthday Party

Image
I can't believe Rory's first birthday party has come and gone already. It was hectic and a lot of work and didn't 100% turn out the way I thought it would but it was still great!

The theme we went with was Winter ONEderland and the color scheme was lavender, silver, and white. I did a lot of DIY and we also made the food, including this awesome hot chocolate recipe for Rory's hot chocolate bar. We also had popcorn, mac n' cheese, oven baked grilled cheese (it was quicker to make a lot of grilled cheese this way), rock candy (aka icicles/ ice crystals), a snowball donut hole tree cake and her smash cake. I made a pin the tiara on the ice princess game and snowman slam game just in case but we didn't need it b/c the kids were either babies under the age of 2 or kids 5 and up who played outside in the snow. Rory actually had a winter wonderland. It snowed about an inch or two the night before- definitely should've gotten a picture but oh well, at least i…

12 Months Old
*I totally just realized I never got a picture of you with your 12 month sticker... oh well #momfail. And yes, I know this post is a week late. So technically she is 1 year and 1 week old.

I also didn't get a picture of you holding one balloon like I wanted to either... this kind of counts, right?

How is my sweet precious baby a whole year old?! By the way, I totally apologize in advance for this post not being amazing but my brain is like mush.

Rory Bear, you are the best daughter- best child- a parent could ask for. You're smart, sassy, hilarious, and oh so beautiful both inside and out. You have made this past year so wonderful and magical, it still amazes me that I am your mom and you're my daughter. I couldn't imagine my life without you. Life without you would be no life at all. You're my light, my world, my everything and I love you so very much. I hope you never limit your imagination. Stay silly and full of sass and spunk- don't c…

How Far Along: 24 weeks and 4 days

Due Date: 4/14/18

Baby is the Size of: an ear of corn! Baby #2 should weigh 1.5 lb and measure 8.5" long. At my ultrasound a week ago, she was weighing 1 lb 6 oz and was in the 50th percentile.

Weight Gain: 13 lbs.

Symptoms: Nausea, vomiting ("controlled" by Diclegis and thank God they refilled my Promethazine), MOODY, emotional, fatigue, Depression, super EXHAUSTED, round ligament pain and lower back/ tailbone pain. I also started experiencing pretty bad upper abdominal pain accompanied by back pain, thought they felt similar to braxton hicks except they were painful and the Dr claims my uterus isn't up high yet where I thought I was feeling them. My Drs office wanted to see me and took some blood work to check my liver and pancreas. My gallbladder is also of concern. The Dr refilled by Promethazine and told me to take 2 Zantac (anti-acid) a day and see if that helps.

Gender: Girl!

Name: Violet Jameson

Movement: Yes! It is crazy to feel …
